In order to cater with the demands of locals, Former Minister and Ex-MLA Jammu West Sat Sharma (CA) toured Ward 28 of Jammu West Assembly segment and visited Gurha, Qasim Nagar, Rajput Mohalla and other adjoining areas of the ward and interacted with hundreds of inhabitants of the ward. Pertinent to mention, a deputation hailing from the ward met the Former MLA and asked him to conduct an extensive tour in the ward in order to overcome the problems faced by the residents. Sharma was also accompanied by State Addl. Treasurer BJP Prem Gupta, Mandal Vice President Ravi Sharma and many others including many inhabitants of the ward.
Speaking on the occasion, Sat Sharma said that a fruitful tour was conducted in the ward in which maximum households participated and stated their problems. He said the main problem in the area was the covering of a deep drain (Nullah) which is a long pending demand for which concerned authorities have been notified and within days the tendering process will be done so that a proper infra pertaining to cleanliness in the ward can be provided.
He also stated that inhabitants also demanded for construction of lanes near Arya Samaj and Rajput Mohalla some time back for which the tender has been displayed by the JMC (Jammu Municipal Corporation) and its work will also be taken up in some time so that basic amenities are provided to the residents at their doorsteps.
He stated that to strengthen the vision of our hard working Prime Minister Narendra Modi and to achieve the mission of “Swach Bharat”, it is the duty of every citizen to contribute some of its time to work for this noble cause and he also appealed everyone to come forward in achieving this goal. “Swach Bharat Hoga toh Swasth Bharat Hoga”, he added.
Dr. Deepak Kapoor, Naresh Sharma, Ravinder singh Jyoti, Rajinder Gupta, Hunny singh, Narinder Sharma, Rakesh Dogra, Sanjay Dogra, Ravi Dogra, Ravi Shakar, Rakesh Bhagat, Bal Kandhari, Master Mahesh, Sunny Amla, Rakesh Sharma, Sahil Raina and several others were also present.
